Christina Lyons is Chairperson and an Assistant Professor in the Graduate Exhibition Design Program at the Fashion Institute of Technology/SUNY.
Christina was the Director of the Graphics Department at Lee H. Skolnick Architecture + Design Partnership. She was also a Senior Graphic Designer at Poulin + Morris. She has worked on numerous exhibition and experience design projects such as the Muzeiko: Children’s Museum in Sofia, Bulgaria, New York Historical Society, the Sony Wonder Technology Lab, the Aileron Center for Entrepreneurial Education, the Rochester Museum and Science Center, Batsto Historic Village, the National Track and Field Hall of Fame, Monkey King: A Journey to China at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan, Off the Wall Society for Experiential Graphic Design at the AIGA gallery, the America: Now + Here traveling exhibit, and Live Work Skyline Street exhibition at the Center for Architecture.
Christina holds a Masters in Communication Design from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Vermont. Christina has been teaching in the Fashion Institute of Technology, Master of Arts program in Exhibition Design since 2010, and in the Visual Presentation and Exhibition Design program in 2008.
Christina is a part of the Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD) Academic Task Force and an SEGD board member. Recent speaking engagements include the Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums, Society for Experiential Graphic Design and National Association for Interpretation.
