Computer Essentials for Graphic Design

All designers are expected to be proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Graphic designers must know Adobe InDesign and can no longer ignore the web. If your computer skills have not caught up with the times, this certificate program is for you.

Not all courses are offered every semester.

All courses listed are required in order to complete the certificate program, unless otherwise noted.

A total of 9 courses (8 required and 1 personal choice) are needed to complete this certificate. 
Courses can be taken in any order if there are no prerequisites.

Students interested in a Professional Development Certificate of completion must file an affidavit form after completing the first course in the certificate. This will also enable you to obtain your official FIT ID. You may obtain this form from the instructor of your first course or by contacting Kathleen Friedman from Certificate Programs at Kathleen_Friedman@fitnyc.edu. You may also pick it up from the Center for Professional Studies, located at 236 West 27th Street (store front level).
