The Museum at FIT welcomes our Summer 2022 AAMD intern, Frida Mckeon Loyola!

Frida Mckeon Loyola is a summer intern for the Education and Curatorial Departments at The Museum at FIT. She graduated with an AA in Fashion Design and a BA in the Art History and Museum Professions program at FIT and will commence her Master's of Art in Fashion Textile Studies: History, Theory, Museum Practice in the fall.  Since 2020, she has volunteered as an MFIT facilitator and as an intern for the upcoming exhibition, Fresh, Fly, and Fabulous: Fifty Years of Hip Hop Style.

 

During her AAMD internship, she aims to learn about the curatorial process and the diverse ways fashion and culture intersect.

 

About the AAMD Internship:

Funded by the Association of Art Museum Directors (AAMD), this 12-week internship engages undergraduate students from underrepresented backgrounds in order to encourage them to pursue a career in art museums.
