Meet our AAMD Intern
June 2026
This summer, Madeline J. Day begins a six-month Association of Art Museum Directors (AAMD) internship in the Digital Media Department at The Museum at FIT. Madeline holds an AAS in Fine Arts from FIT and is a rising senior in FIT's Art History and Museum Professions BS program. First volunteering as a Museum Facilitator in the fall of 2025 for the exhibition Dress, Dreams, and Desire, she is returning to The Museum at FIT to work on the "We Love Dolls" crowd-sourced project for the upcoming Doll Dressing exhibition. The internship also includes learning about web accessibility standards and applying the principles learned to captioning videos, as well as managing digital assets for publication.
During this AAMD internship, Madeline will gain hands-on experience and see how digital media supports both the operational and public-facing work of a museum.
MFIT is honored to be awarded the opportunity (again) to participate in AAMD's Paid Internship program.
