In July, Bertille began a six-month French Heritage Society Internship in the Director’s Office at The Museum at FIT. Her interest in fashion developed during her studies in Decorative Arts at the École du Louvre. Alongside her studies, she pursued hands-on experiences that deepened that interest, including a six-month internship at Maison Christian Louboutin and employment in the Heritage department at Christofle. These roles involved documentary research, exhibition writing, installation support, and direct engagement with objects in museum reserves. During her internship, Bertille will develop a comprehensive understanding of how The Museum at FIT uses curatorial research to create exhibitions, publications, and educational programs about the cultural significance of fashion.

In August, Yujiro completed a month-long internship in the Education and Public Programs Department at The Museum at FIT. His dissertation examines how the meaning of Ivy Style transformed as it expanded beyond white elite culture into the diverse worlds of jazz musicians, Black intellectuals, the American West Coast, the Seven Sisters colleges, and, eventually, Japan. During his internship, Yujiro applied his menswear knowledge and experience to provide research support for the writing of exhibition and object labels for the spring 2027 exhibition Fashioning Desire: Willy Chavarria and Bárbara Sánchez-Kane. He also gained insight into the exhibition planning process, from checklists to label creation, and contributed to the Bloomberg Connects app, where he worked on object research, scriptwriting, image research and selection, and storyboard production.
