On October 31st, 2019 guest speaker Dr. Yolanda Sealy-Ruiz, Teachers College-Columbia University, facilitated a workshop about the role of respect in effective teaching and deeper learning.
Dr. Yolanda Sealy-Ruiz, Teachers College, is the recipient of the 2018 Revolutionary
Mentor Award-Critical Educators for Social Justice (CESJ), Special Interest Group
(SIG) of the American Educational Research Association (AERA).

Building an Inclusive Learning Community
On February 13th, 2020 Dr. Ron Milon, FIT Chief Diversity Officer, moderated a conversation about classroom civility and curriculum. This event was based on his presentations at SUNY campuses, including SUNY Adirondack and SUNY Korea.
