Mark Tallowin, founder and designer of Tallowin, led workshops and presented his process
for making “heartfelt, utilitarian” bags and other leather containers.
November 5 - 7, 2019
Nuttall led students in workshops creating "hand-drawn plausible fictitious maps”
on wood panels. He also conducted a day-long demonstration of map drawing on a live
model, characteristic of his studio and commissioned practice.
October 22 - 24, 2019
Marroquin demonstrated creating art with yarn and other fibers, using tabletop portable looms. All who attended the workshop finished a small weaving made on the looms.
April 2 & 4, 2019
Under Robertson's direction, participants collaborated with each other, creating a
"Bloom" wall, using paper, paint, scissors, and other art materials.
March 20 - 21, 2019
Kathleen Granados, BFA ‘09, conducted workshops that encouraged students to incorporate
poetry into their fiber and fabric sculptures.
February 12 & 14, 2019
Anthony, of John Anthony Couture and first AIR @FIT, discussed his design process
while sketching and engaging students with anecdotes from his decades long successful
career at the helm of his atelier.
