1. Completed applications may be submitted beginning each year online starting September 15 for consideration for fall admissions; there are no spring admissions. Please note the priority application deadline for each program below:

Completed Applications will receive a response within 4-6 weeks following submission. Applications submitted after the priority deadlines noted above, will be evaluated and admitted as space permits. Applications will not be reviewed until all required documents are received.

2. Essay (FOR FASHION DESIGN MFA ONLY, YOU WILL SUBMIT A BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH )
Briefly discuss your choice of program and reasons for interest, including pertinent work and travel experience. Also include your future professional objectives. 

3. Curriculum Vitae / Resume
Upload a copy of your current CV/ Resume

4. Transcripts
Applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater. Transcripts may be uploaded with your application (these become unofficial transcripts); official transcripts in its original sealed envelope must be sent to our offices.

4. Testing Requirements
Applicants who do not hold a baccalaureate degree from a college or university where English is the primary language of instruction, must take either The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Pearson Language Test (PTE).The minimum TOEFL score requirement depends on which test format you are using:

Internet-based (IBT) test:  minimum score must be 80
Computer-based test:  minimum score must be 213
Paper-based test:  minimum score must be 550
The minimum IELTS band score of 6.5 in the academic module is required.

PTE: A minimum score of 53 must be met.

TOEFL or IELTS scores must be forwarded to the School of Graduate Studies. FIT's report code is 2257 (Institution); 
99 (department).

5. Letters of Recommendation
Two letters of recommendation, one academic and one professional are required and must be submitted as indicated on the application form.

 6. Interview
Applicants selected for an interview will be contacted by the School of Graduate Studies.
