Adjunct Faculty Resources

Adjunct faculty are an essential part of the FIT teaching and learning community. These resources are each designed to provide resources, support and insight that enhance your teaching practice. For additional support with teaching please contact the Interim CET Director  Brian Fallon ([email protected]) or the CET Coordinator Jeffrey Riman ([email protected]) for a consultation or assistance.

The Adjunct Institute

The Center for Excellence in Teaching sponsors the Adjunct Institute each spring. This faculty development event seeks to reach FIT's part-time faculty with convenient professional development activities that target topics such as writing across the curriculum, maximizing new technology in the classroom and fostering student-centered, active learning. Institutes regularly include outside speakers and hands-on workshops. Please visit the Adjunct Institute page to see previous event and valuable resources related to each topio.

The Adjunct Orientation

Welcome to the online New Adjunct Orientation! In the first part of the orientation, you will find information on four introductory teaching topics, with opportunities to question and respond. You will be able to work at your own speed, as well as move back and forth to revisit activities.  Please visit the Adjunct Orientation pages to review and participate.
