Financial Aid

FIT is committed to providing superior education at an affordable cost and to helping you find a way to pay for it. Financial aid is available from a variety of sources from scholarships, grants, federal loans, and work-study. FIT endowed scholarships are donated to the FIT Foundation by many companies, organizations, and individuals.

Spring 2018 Applicants:  November 1, 2018

Priority filing deadline is January 15, 2019

Financial Aid Awareness - FALL 2018 EVENTS

Financial Aid will be hosting workshops, and hands-on FAFSA sessions all during the Fall 2018 semester.  For the schedule of events please go to our News and Events page.  Please bring your FSA ID and your 2017 tax information to any of our "Hands-On" events.

SUNY Financial Aid Day - November 17

FIT will host  a SUNY Financial Aid Day Session on Saturday, November 17, 2018 beginning at 9:00 am.  This event is designed to answer your questions and provide assistance with your FAFSA application for 2019-2020.  For more information go to our News and Events page.


Tax Information cannot be submitted by email. You may mail, fax or bring these documents to our office.

The Excelsior Scholarship application is for the 2018-2019 academic year has passed For more specific information regarding your eligibility and the requirements you need to apply you can go to our State Grants page.  In addition,  you can go to the Excelsior Scholarship page on the HESC website.
