FIT Graduate Exhibition & Experience Design Annual Capstone Event

Each year the FIT Graduate Exhibition & Experience Design department holds a thesis adjudication event. Industry professionals from all over the world join us to have one-on-one interaction with the graduate students during their thesis defense. The thesis work will demonstrate the students' exploration of an original thesis argument, in the form of a designed exhibition project. Each student will present drawings and documentation of their exhibition experience, including graphic and lighting design, renderings, technology, physical models, along with a research and design development document. Emphasis is placed on whether the student has created a strong and compelling storyline, and retained that narrative throughout each step of the design process, with a solid understanding of the client, venue, audience and most importantly the visitor experience.

An evening reception follows the thesis presentations. The evening event is open to the public, alumni, college representatives, industry professionals, friends and families.
