In the culmination of this course students will engage in an individual research project that reflects an understanding of the design's impact from fiber to finished design.

Students collaborate on researching a new idea in design innovation, utilizing cutting-edge materials and/or tools. Students work together to develop and execute wearable items that address a need ( i.e., health and wellness, seated design, service work, protection, agriculture). In the culmination of this course, students select or create a brand label and design an innovative product with an aesthetic true to the company’s vision.

Description: In this course, a descriptive chemical and biochemical approach will be used to explore environmental chemistry, and further students' understanding of ethics, social injustice and sustainability.
