Stress Relief Week at FIT is sponsored by the Department of Student Life, the FIT Student Government Association, Student Volunteer Community Service (SVCS), Athletics and Recreation, and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Counseling Services, and The Library.

Personalized Greeting Cards
Need a holiday card for that special someone? Stop by and meet Paul Kleba who will personalize a card just for you! Hosted by your Student Government Association.

Pet Therapy
Therapy animals are back, just in time for finals!  Come and join fellow students to meet and de-stress with lovable therapy animals at the FIT Library! Sign ups required, and will open up one hour before the event start time at 4pm on the 5th Floor of the Library.

6pm to 8pm Snacks Around the World

Join the Student Government Association for an international snack time.  Sink your teeth into some of the best sweets from around the globe.

Meditation opportunities will be available each day during stress relief week.  Stop by one of our convenient 30-minute sessions and find some peace in the middle of your hectic week!

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 5th    
12:30pm to 2pm Hot Coco and Adult Coloring

Take a break from studying and stop by the dining hall for some adult coloring and a complimentary cup of hot cocoa. Color pencils and crayons will be provided!

Calm City Bus & Meditation Station 
Back by popular demand is NYC's first mobile meditation studio! For the fall semester Calm City will be on campus on various Tuesdays from 12pm to 4pm on 27th Street. Calm City is a modern meditation studio housed in a classic RV. Calm City combines a boutique meditation studio experience with the convenience of a food truck. Groups of nine people can relax, recharge, and find balance in a safe and friendly environment during an audio-guided instruction from a certified meditation teacher. 10-minute meditation sessions are provided every 15 minutes on the hour. We hope you will take a few minutes in your day to stop by and meditate.

Yoga & Guided Meditation
Come to the yoga studio on Tuesday night for an evening of relaxation!  First, during the restorative yoga portion of the sessions, the stress and tension will be released from your body, preparing your mind for meditation to follow.  This class is sure to prepare you for the home stretch of the semester!

Breakfast 4 Dinner
Breakfast for Dinner, also known as B4D, is an iconic end of the semester tradition here at FIT. Students are invited to come relax, unwind, and celebrate their accomplishments for end of the academic season. B4D will be a prequel to the SGA's "Winter Wonderland" party, students will feel the holiday spirit in the air as we winterize the dining hall for a memorable B4D experience.

With the end of the semester stressors, self-care is very much needed. Taking time to rejuvenate will earn you more hours of productivity. Stop by the Counseling Center table to: make a lavender sachet, color design, play games and hug stuffed animal.

 7pm to 9pm Winter Wonderland
The FIT Student Government Association Programming Committee is taking over the 7th floor on December 7th from 7-10 pm for a Winter Wonderland Holiday Extravaganza! Get in the holiday spirit with your Student Government Association by decorating gingerbread houses, a holiday photo booth, cookie decorating, a hot cocoa station, ornament decorating, a gift wrapping station, tree decorating, and MUCH MORE! Happy merry everything!

Feeling wound up and looking for an outlet to let out let out some aggression? Come to cardio kickboxing and sweat the stress away!

Gingerbread Decorating I
Gingerbread Houses will be decorated and Benefit Partnership for the Homeless.  This event will bring students together to create masterpieces for the cause. The houses will be carefully crafted , wrapped and secured on Friday to be distributed on Saturday.  This will be part I of a two day event.

Gingerbread Decorating Part II
Representatives from The Department of Student Life,Partnership for the Homeless, Student Clubs and the clients of Partnership, will convene to have toy selections, gift selections and carnival type activities, face painting  and so much more.
