Club Awards

Each Spring, the Fashion Institute of Technology honors a select number of Student-ran clubs that have shown major contribution to the campus community. Only one application per club will be considered for each award.  All awards will be presented at the 2018 Recognition and Awards Ceremony on Thursday, April 26, 2018.

The deadline to submit applications is March 2018.  Late applications will not be considered.

NEW CLUB AWARD

This award will be given to a new club that was created between Fall of 2017 and Spring of 2018, who has shown the most potential, growth, and has benefited the FIT Community since their induction.  To meet eligibility requirements, the club must have been created during the 2017-2018 academic year.

PRESIDENT'S AWARD

This award will be given to the President of a club that has shown the most passion and dedication to his/her club and has pushed their members to new levels of success.  To meet eligibility requirements, the club President must be nominated.  The applicant's information will be recorded.

OUTSTANDING NEW PROGRAMMING AWARD

This award will be given to the club who has created an event that benefited and impacted the FIT Community in a substantial way.  Some basic criteria we will be looking for includes, but is not limited to, advertising efforts, student turnout, and student feedback.

OUTSTANDING ANNUAL PROGRAMING AWARD

This award will be given to the club who has created an annual event that benefited and impacted the FIT Community in a substantial way.  Some basic criteria we will be looking for includes, but is not limited to, advertising efforts, student turnout, and student feedback.  To qualify as an annual program, it must be held at least 2 consecutive years in a row.

COLLABORATIVE PROGRAMMING AWARD

This award will be given to the clubs who have made the most effort to work together in programming  and other activities.

COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD

This award is given to the club that has provided valuable service to community (i.e. through charity work, joint projects with community organizations, etc.)  To meet eligibility requirements community service should not be sponsored by Student Life.

MOST FINANCIALLY REPSONSIBLE AWARD

This award will go to the most financially responsible club of the academic year.  The amount of money raised, involvement of club members, how collected funds were used, and the accuracy of important financial documents filed will be considered when choosing a winner.

BEST FUNDRAISER AWARD

This award will go to the club who has hosted the most creative of the fundraisers on campus.  Some basic criteria we will be looking for includes, but is not limited to, how much money was raised involvement of club members, and what the money funded.

LEGACY AWARD

This award will go to a club that has been in existence for ten or more years who has provided exemplary programming and activity/representation on and around campus.

ADVISOR OF THE YEAR AWARD

This award is presented to the advisor who has provided leadership and guidance to a student organization and motivated members to their fullest potential.

PUBLICITY AWARD

This award recognizes the student organization with the best publicity campaign of the year.

COMMUNICATIONS COUNCIL AWARD

This recognition will be awarded to the publication that has excelled in producing creative, accurate, and meaningful content that encompasses the attitude of FIT.  This involves the institution's areas of specialization including business, art, technology and fashion.

CLUB OF THE YEAR

This award will go to a club that has provided a valuable service to the College and the FIT Community through it's contribution to campus life.  In addition, this club has proven loyalty to the College and faculty through involvement with their programming on campus.  This club demonstrates extraordinary community service, collaborative programming, excellent fundraising efforts and has created new programs for the student body.
