SUNY Student Information Survey

As part of a state-wide effort to best serve our diverse student population, all State University of New York (SUNY) campuses are required to participate in a Student Information Survey at the time of registration, in order to provide SUNY with an enhanced understanding of the student body.

The survey has 6 questions, some with multiple parts, and should take no longer than 3 minutes to complete. You will encounter the survey on the MyFit portal, at the next log-in after you've registered for any course(s). You will be required to answer the questions to move forward with any other navigation. Once you’ve completed the survey you will not see it again until the next registration cycle, when you’ll be asked to confirm previous answers, and/or change any answers, if applicable. All of your answers are encrypted and entirely anonymous.

The information collected from this survey will be transmitted from campus information technology offices to the information technology offices at SUNY System Administration in Albany, New York. As with all student data, access is restricted and information is stored on secure servers. The data is always reported as combined totals, never by individual student. This data is being collected for informational purposes to support student success and ensure inclusive campus environments.
