Vromen's book paints a vivid picture of the brave individuals who risked everything to protect innocent young strangers. She also provides a riveting account of the hidden children who lived to tell their stories. Vromen examines the children's lives after the war how they faced the devastating loss of parents, struggled to regain their identities, and sought to memorialize those who saved them.
Suzanne Vromen is Professor Emeritus of Sociology at Bard College, where she taught for 22 years.Dr. Anne Griffin, Professor of Political Science at The Cooper Union, will introduce Dr. Vromen.
