Judith and Gerson Leiber To Receive Lifetime Achievement Award From FIT President Dr. Joyce F. Brown
Renowned handbag designer and Holocaust survivor Judith Leiber and her husband, artist and World War II G.I. Gerson Leiber, will speak about surviving under the Nazi and Russian occupations, how they met on the war-torn streets of Budapest, and their respective careers, at the Fashion Institute of Technology's (FIT) ninth annual Holocaust Commemoration.
The Leibers biographer, Jeffrey Sussman, author of No Mere Bagatelles, will also attend.
Judith and Gerson Leiber will receive the Presidents Lifetime Achievement Award from FIT, presented by FIT President Dr. Joyce F. Brown.
This is a free event sponsored by FIT's Diversity Council.
