Karen Trivette

Karen Trivette, Associate Professor-Librarian, Head of Special Collections and College Archives
Karen joined the library in 2008. According to archives and rare books and manuscripts best practices and principles, she selects, arranges, describes, preserves, promotes, and makes accessible the holdings of the unit. Karen holds a BA in the history of art from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a MLS from the University at Albany-State University of New York. Before coming to FIT, she worked for the New York State Archives, the University at Albany (NY), and the Museum of Modern Art. Karen is keenly interested in all areas of art and design and is an avid animal lover.

Emily Arbuckle, Special Collections Associate, Special Collections and College Archives                                                          Emily joined the library in 2016. Within her unit, she serves as the curator of rare books and periodicals and assists researchers visiting the collection. Emily has a BA in the History of Art and Architecture from DePaul University and a MSLIS with an Advanced Certificate in Archives from Pratt Institute. Prior to joining FIT, Emily worked in archives and collections management at galleries, museums, and arts foundations.

April joined the library in 2012. Within her unit, she serves as the curator of manuscript collections and works one on one with researchers visiting the collection. April received her undergraduate degree in the history of art and her MA from FIT's Fashion and Textile Studies: History, Theory Museum Practice Program. Prior to her graduate studies, she worked in contemporary art galleries and foundations for nearly ten years. April is a Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice certified art appraiser as well as the author of several books on the history of fashion. 
SPARC member photo James Ferguson, Cataloging Assistant, Special Collections and College Archives
James joined the library in 1995. James catalogs resources for the Library's Special Collections and College Archives (SPARC) and works on various other SPARC projects. He is also an active curator/member of the Library Exhibits & Displays team. James holds a BA from Indiana University, with a major in Theatre Arts. James performs throughout New York and around the world in theatre, performance art, and burlesque shows. He also works as an acting teacher and guest lecturer at university theatre departments, museums, and at burlesque festivals wherever he travels.
molly seegers

J.E. Molly Seegers, Special Collections Associate, Special Collections and College Archives                                                    Molly joined the library in 2017. Within her unit she serves as the Curator of Digital Assets and assists researchers visiting the collection. Molly hold a BA in Sociology from Haverford College, an MSLIS with an Advanced Certificate in Archives, and an MS in the History of Art and Design from Pratt Institute. Before coming to FIT she worked for the Brooklyn Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, the Frick Art Reference Library, and the Rockefeller Archive Center. Molly is passionate about the history of photography and going to the beach.
