|Jana C. Duda, Library Technology Resources Manager
Jana joined the library in 1987. She is responsible for Library Technology, FITDIL (FIT Digital Image Library), PrintFX, which serves as the digital printing center on campus, and the FabLab (Fabrication Lab). Jana graduated with honors from the University of South Florida with a fine arts degree with a concentration in photography and sculpture. She is also an adjunct instructor in the Photography department specializing in PhotoShop courses and has done free-lance work as a digital photo-Illustrator, digital re-toucher and as a digital resources consultant. Jana has exhibited her photography in the United States, Europe and South America. She was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and is fluent in Portuguese.
|Jasper Lin, Graphics Lab Coordinator for the PrintFX Lab
Jasper joined the library in 2011. He manages the day to day operations of the Lab. Jasper graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a BA in computer graphics and the School of Visual Arts with a MFA in computer art. His interest in all technical aspects of computer graphics and animation has lead to filling wide array of roles, in both professional and academic realms. Jasper is also currently adjunct faculty at Montclair State University in the Department of Art and Design.
|Linda Elber, Graphics Lab Assistant for the PrintFX Lab
Linda joined the library in 1986. Some of her responsibilities include printing, orientations, product research, customer service and records maintenance. Linda graduated from SUNY Albany with a BA in medical illustration. Previous experiences include set design, assisting for off off Broadway shows and working for several ad agencies including Spiros Associates, a movie poster design company. Linda has volunteered for several organizations which include the NYC Public Library literacy program, Upward Bound and Dancin' In the Streets. Her personal interests include creating welded steel sculptures, coordinating shows for a local sculpture organization, cooking and gardening.
|Jason Yip, Technologist C for the PrintFX Lab
Jason joined the library in 2008. He is a Graphic Designer for the PrintFX Lab. Jason provides graphic design services and supports operations. He graduated from FIT with his BFA in communication design where he was the winner of the FIT 60th Diamond Anniversary Postcard Design for the senior show. Jason’s graphic design experiences include print and brand packaging design. Among other previous work experiences, Jason was a freelance graphic designer at Greensoundroom Production and a graphic designer for Tong & Chiu Communication Design (where he work with clients at Barnes & Noble, Skyy Vodka, Rémy Martin, Midori, 1800 Tequila and Jose Cuervo). Jason was born in Hong Kong and is fluent in Cantonese.
Autumn Newcomb, Technologist C, for the PrintFX Lab
Autumn joined the library in 2016. Her favorite services are vinyl cutting, laser cutting and 3D printing. Autumn graduated with honors from Alfred University with a Bachelors in Fine Arts; concentrating in print media, glassblowing, sculpture, and video. She also works as marketing designer for her brother's company, Nicholas Newcomb Pottery & Sculpture. Outside of FIT, Autumn makes art through a variety of mediums including sculpture, illustration and music videos. In her spare time she likes to travel, play soccer, and explore new music.
