FIT Office of Library Directors Continued

NJ Bradeen, Professor-Librarian, Director, Gladys Marcus Library at FIT
Professor Bradeen joined the Library in 2002. He oversees Library administration while reporting to the VP of Academic Affairs. NJ holds a BS from Kutztown University and an MS from Drexel University. He has spent 35 years in various types of libraries including; public, school, hospital, special, health science, academic and finally FIT. Prior to coming to FIT, NJ has held positions at Ohio State University, New York Academy of Medicine, Columbia University, New York University School of Medicine and Bergen Community College. In his spare time, NJ loves to spend time with his husband at their homes in both New Jersey and Maine as well as skiing, gardening, fine dining and travel.

FOLD member Greta Earnest, Associate Professor-Librarian, Associate Director, Gladys Marcus Library at FIT
Greta joined the FIT library in 2003. She contributes to the FIT community in a variety of capacities while providing leadership and direction for the FIT Library's operations and as its Collection Development Officer. Her leadership vision focuses on offering high caliber services and resources by empowering personnel, seeking quality efficiencies, creating consistent policies and procedures while incorporating both assessment and strategic planning. Greta has held leadership positions at the Bard Graduate Center, Pratt Institute and the Metropolitan Museum of Art as well as consulting at the Museum of Modern Art, Cooper Union and the Clark Art Institute. She holds a BA from Bard College and an MLS from SUNY at Albany.
T. Hanslick Tabitha Hanslick Nguyen, Executive Coordinator, Office of Library Directors
Tabitha joined the Library in 1993. She oversees human resources, facility issues, operating budgets and policy compliance for the Library. Tabitha also manages the administrative support for the Library Directors. She holds an MLIS from the Pratt Institute and a BS from FIT. Tabitha is a 2016 recipient of the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Classified Service. When not at FIT, Tabitha oversees human resources, facility issues, operating budgets and policy compliance for three busy little girls, a husband, a dog and four fish. She serves on the executive board of the Kings Highway PTA, chairs the Artsmart committee and is active in fundraising for Earthplace Nature Discovery Center. This year, she and her husband are named honorary chairs of the annual Earthplace Festival.  If she ever found any spare time, Tabitha would devote time to being a better gardener, cook more and maybe even read a book.

Joan Benevisto, Library Associate, Office of Library Directors                                                                                                   Joan joined the library in 1983. She coordinates calendaring for the Library Director, maintains Unit supplies, and is the go to gal for information on library history. Joan is an active member of the Library Exhibits & Displays team. Joan enjoys catering, gardening, and travel, tag sale decorating, and spending time at home with family and friends.

Jennifer Blum, Adjunct Associate Professor-Librarian, Office of Library Directors
Jennifer joined the library in 1986. She is the Library's Visual Resources & Exhibitions Librarian. She worked at the Boston Public Library for 6 years prior to joining the FIT Library. Jennifer holds a BA in Classics from NYU, an MA in Mediterranean Studies from Brandeis University and a MS in Library Science from Simmons College. She serves on the Board of Trustees of the Friends of the Newark Public Library. Jennifer has been an avid yogini for the past 25 years.

j. brady Jennifer H. Brady, Library Associate, Office of Library Directors
Jenne joined the Library in 2014. She provides marketing communications, event publicity, content production and management for publications, social media workflow evaluation, coordination and strategy, and website content management support support for various units of the Library. Jenne reports to the Library Directors and the Executive Coordinator. She serves on the Love Your Library Events Committee, the Web Management Team and is Chair of the Social Media Team. Jenne holds a dual BA from the University of West Florida, an MFA from The New School and a certificate in French from NYU.

Dawn Dinh, Office Associate, Office of Library Directors                                                                                                     Dawn joined the Library in 2016. She coordinates and oversees calendaring for the Library Director and Associate Director, maintains unit supplies and offers support with other office-related tasks. Dawn is currently pursuing her BFA in Illustration at FIT. In the future, Dawn would like to get her Master's degree in Illustration at FIT. In her spare time Dawn works on independent illustration projects, goes on food adventures and explores city life.

Helen Lane, Assistant Professor-Librarian, Emerging Technologies
Helen joined the FIT Library in 2009. She is responsible for designing digital learning resources, maintaining and enhancing the library’s presence in FIT’s Learning Management System, and outreach and engagement with blended and online courses. Intrinsic to her work is exploring, identifying and providing training in emerging technologies that support teaching, learning, and research goals. She has previously worked at libraries at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York Public Library, Pace University and Columbia University. Her interests include instructional design and data visualization. She holds a BA in English literature from Earlham College and an MLIS from Pratt Institute.
