Acquisitions and Metadata Services Continued 

 Leslie Preston

Leslie Preston, Assistant Professor-Librarian, Head of Acquisitions and Metadata Services
Leslie joined the library in 2008. She oversees all aspects of the AMS department including; acquisitions, donations, resource budgeting, and cataloging/metadata services workflow. Leslie holds a BA in art history from the University of Georgia and a MLS in information science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She has 25 years of library experience and has worked previously at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Atlanta College of Art. Leslie dabbles a bit in jewelry making. She also enjoys an occasional art/fashion history class here at FIT.

 Joseph Anderson

Joseph Anderson, Adjunct Assistant Professor-Librarian, Acquisitions and Metadata Services
Joseph joined the library in 2015. He serves as the Digital Initiatives Librarian. Joseph holds a BA in fiction writing from Columbia College Chicago and a MLIS in library and information science from Dominican University. He has seven years of library experience and has previously worked on digital projects at the College of Physicians of Philadelphia and Mutter Museum. In his spare time, Joseph enjoys reading, writing, cycling, and baking sourdough bread.

 Karl ( Karl ("Kip") Baranoff, Adjunct Assistant Professor-Librarian, Acquisitions and Metadata Services
Kip joined the library in 2005. He catalogs print and non-print materials for the FIT Library. He also provides reference service to students, faculty and visitors at the Periodicals and Electronic Resource Services desk. Kip holds a BA in Music from Indiana University, an MA of Music from Temple University, as well as a MS from the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois. He has worked at the Ryerson Library at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Pratt Institute Library, and the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Kip is an avid world traveler and student of foreign languages.
 Jane Mahoney Jane Mahoney, Library Associate, Acquisitions and Metadata Services
Jane joined the library in 1988. She is responsible for ordering, receiving and invoicing books and DVDs. Jane is also an artist, bookbinder and book restorer. She is a member of American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works as well as the Guild of Bookworkers, where she serves as Programs Co-Chair of the New York Chapter.
 Karen Fitch Karen Fitch, Library Associate, Acquisitions and Metadata Services
Karen joined the library in 1988. She catalogs books and DVDs for the Library and is the point person for Aleph ILS reporting and database management. She is a whiz at technological minutia.
 Andrea Kleine Andrea Kleine, Cataloging Assistant, Acquisitions and Metadata Services
Andrea joined the library in 2001. She catalogs books and other materials for the Library. Andrea also selects, uploads, and provides metadata for FIT Archive on Demand, an online video resource covering events, lectures, and instruction around campus. She contributes to other library digital and non-print collection initiatives and fills in at the research services desk when needed. 
 Janette Rozene Janette Rozene, Professor-Librarian, Acquisitions and Metadata Services
Janette joined the library in 1981. She has over four decades years of library experience and specializes in cataloging. Janette holds a BA in Art History from Boston University, an MLS in Library Science from Columbia University, and an MA in Art History from Hunter College. Prior to joining FIT, she worked in the libraries at MOMA, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Newark Public Library, Art and Music Dept. and the Lowenstein Textile Company library. Janette also studied oil painting at the Art Students League of NY and enjoys plein air painting in oil and watercolors.
 James Vidos James Vidos, Library Aide, Acquisitions and Metadata Services
James joined the library in 1998. He is responsible for processing gifts. James also helps order books and DVDs, adds order records in Aleph, and performs other tasks for the Department. He attended Portland State University, where he studied English Literature.
