Other Funding Sources

SPIN Network

SPIN is FIT’s subscription grants database. We make this available at no cost to you. SPIN can be accessed through any campus computer. Log on to SPIN using your FIT username and password.

You will get best results if you set up a “SPIN Smarts” email alert. This is a profile that you create that will send you a daily email with grant opportunities that meet your search criteria.

The Foundation Center

The Foundation Center maintains the most comprehensive U.S. database of grants for institutions and individuals; it is especially strong on private foundations. While FIT does not have an open-source subscription, the Grants Office can conduct research on your behalf. A smaller pool of searchable, open-source Foundation Center grant listings are available through Philanthropy News Digest.

New York Foundation for the Arts

NYFA is an independent not-for-profit that serves individual artists and designers, as well as arts organizations, through a range of services to the arts community, their own grantmaking programs, and NYFA Source, a free grant-search database for individual creatives.
