International Students Meet & Greet
This group is for international students in their first semester at FIT. The group will help you adjust to your new culture and environment, give you a place to share your experiences, and offer you support in your transition to FIT.

College Skills Building Workshop Series
This 4-week workshop series begins the week of February 4 for ALL students who want to gain skills to help them adjust to the college experience, enhance their learning, and improve their academic performance. Each workshop topic takes place twice a week, for about 50 minutes, so, if you miss a topic on Tuesday, then just show up on Thursday as the same material will be covered. Contact the Counseling Center for more specific information.

Take a Break - Counseling Center Stress Relief Table
With the end of the semester stressors, self-care is very much needed. Taking time to rejuvenate will earn you more hours of productivity. Stop by the Counseling Center table to make a lavender sachet, color designs, play board games, and hug stuffed animals.

COUNSELING GROUPS

Circle of Strength Support Group
A support group for survivors of sexual assault and abuse: A safe place for survivors to learn how to cope with stress and trauma and heal by sharing their stories and supporting one another. Begins the week of February 18th. This group requires advance sign-up. Contact Gloria Jetter for more information.

Grief Support Group
Have you lost a loved one? Finding it hard to talk about it with others? If so, please join us for the Grief Support Group. Meet and talk with fellow students experiencing loss in a safe and supportive setting. For more information, please call the Counseling Center at (212) 217-4260 or stop by Room A212B and ask for Jen-Mai Wong.

First Generation in College Group
Are you the first in your family to attend college? Congratulations! Do you have questions about how college works? Does your family understand how hard college is? Come talk with other students who have similar experiences. Contact Ellen in the Counseling Center for more information. 

Students of Color Wellness Group
This group is open to ALL SELF-IDENTIFIED Students of Color. Come and share your experiences, support your classmates, and learn wellness and self-care techniques in a confidential and safe space. Email Counselor Alycia Scott at alycia_scott@fitnyc.edu with any questions! Meetings start on Tuesday, February 5.
