Grad Week Activities

students wearing caps and gownsEach year we celebrate the accomplishments of our graduating students during Grad Week.

Grad Week is sponsored by FIT Student Government Association, Counseling Services, Financial Aid, Department of Student Life, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and Athletics and Recreation.

Stop by the Department of Student Life, Dubinsky Student Center, Room A713 or any Student Government Association sponsored event to get your Grad Week sticker. The sticker will grant you access to Grad Week events that do not require tickets. Events below with two asterisks (**) require stickers for participation.

 

SPRING FEST Concert featuring Amine with openers Buddy and Beau Young Prince
Doors open at 7 pm, show starts at 8 pm, Terminal 5  

The long awaited Spring Fest Concert is back! Adam Aminé Daniel is an American rapper, singer and songwriter. He is best known for his commercial debut single, "Caroline", which peaked at number 11 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. Aminé released his debut studio album Good for You, on July 28, 2017. The show will kick off with Buddy and Beau Young Prince. Buddy is a rising rapper from Compton, California.  He was discovered by Scott Vener, signed by Pharrell, and tapped for collaborations with Chance the Rapper and Kendrick Lamar. Beau Young Prince has emerged on the music scene with a refreshing sense of awareness of his place in hip-hop culture. They will also be joined by DJ Zeke who has DJed for Netflix, Apple/Beats By Dre, Red Bull, and more. Free for all FIT students to attend, we hope you join us for an amazing night to be remembered and wrap up the semester on a high note!

Residence Hall Association (RHA) Block Party

Join the Residence Hall Association for this year’s block party: FIT Olympics! Held between 7th and 8th Avenues on 27th Street, the block party features games, food trucks, prizes, and inflatable activities! Go for the gold and join us for one of the biggest parties of the year!

Activities include Maui Wowi, live DJ, free food, and more. Grads participating in commencement ceremonies will receive a complimentary Grad Week cup, tote bag, and sticker. 
Tickets for FIT's bowling and Waitress (Broadway) will be on sale at this event.

Keepin' It Real Series: Adulting

Graduation day is a momentous occasion in every student’s life. It marks the achievement of academic goals, but it also means you have to actually learn how to live life as an ADULT! Are you worried, anxious, or sad about leaving the comforts of college? Come on over and share your thoughts with a group of students experiencing the same feelings!
