Graduate Studies: Fall 2020

On-Campus Classes (Graduate Studies)

To ensure proper social distancing for on-campus classes, different options have been made available. For the majority, students are assigned to either a schedule A or schedule B for the duration of the semester. Students in schedules A and B will rotate for in-person and remote class times so that only half of the students registered for the course will be in person during an on-campus class time. The other half will join remotely and the professor will livestream during each on-campus class session.

In some cases, due to the space and enrollment in a course, students may be able to attend all sessions in person in the assigned classroom or from an additional designated room/space on campus while still meeting social distancing requirements.

For all studio courses held on campus, during regularly scheduled times, as follows:

  • Open studio time is available for approved majors and can be scheduled in advance to ensure appropriate density and social distancing using FIT Book It.
  • Classes are scheduled on a regular schedule but with limited density and socially distanced plans for each classroom—students are, for example, in person on a staggered basis.
  • Appropriately trained technical personnel will be on hand to assist students.
