THE PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARS PROGRAM AT FIT
212 217.4590
Dr. Irene Buchman, Honors Coordinator
At FIT, there's a place for highly motivated students who seek stimulation beyond the boundaries of required courses and the borders of a college campus. The Presidential Scholars program provides academically-gifted students with an opportunity to nurture their intellectual interests through creative instruction and educational enhancements.

Drawing on the intellectual resources of New York City, Presidential Scholars participate in colloquia on topics such as urban archaeology, theories of public space, and cultural phenomena. Scholars experience the entire landscape of New York City as their campus as they visit cultural institutions and attend arts performances as well as numerous extracurricular and community service activities.

Benefits of FIT's Presidential Scholars Program include advanced classes taught by creative faculty, merit stipends ($500/year), substitution of honors courses for required introductory liberal arts classes, monthly colloquia, cultural outings, and priority registration.

If interested, don't wait to hear about your FIT admission decision. Apply today.
