Cybelle Jones

Cybelle Jones

Cybelle Jones is the Chief Executive Officer of SEGD (Society for Experiential Graphic Design). She has nearly 30 years in the experience design field most recently as Executive Director leading design projects ranging from interactive cultural experiences to art and historical museums. Some of her most celebrated designs include the National World War II Museum, the International Spy Museum and corporate interactive exhibits for Google, Johnson & Johnson and Coca-Cola. Ms. Jones has received multiple honors including the AIA Award of Excellence and the Distinguished Member Award from SEGD. She has been a guest speaker at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, The Chengdu China Design Week, Museum NEXT, AAM, MAAM, SEGD, AIA and XLab. She is a former board member of SEGD, and helped to establish the Masters of Exhibition Design at the Corcoran College of Art, now part of The George Washington University in Washington D.C.

Dasher Lowe

Dasher Lowe

Dasher is the Executive Director for the Experiential Designers and Producers Association (EDPA).  He is responsible for delivering value to EDPA members and helping grow the association.  Dasher is focused on delivering initiatives that support EDPA’s four key pillars: advocacy, education, networking and good works.

Dasher joined EDPA in the fall of 2018.  Prior to joining the team, he was the Managing Director of OgilvyOne in Chicago, leading a 75-person team of customer engagement experts across digital, CRM, analytics and performance media.  Prior to Ogilvy, Dasher spent the majority of his career at another advertising agency, Foote Cone & Belding (FCB), leading their customer relationship marketing practice and overseeing several key global accounts. 

Dasher currently resides in Southwest Michigan with his wife Maria and has two adult children.  And, in case you are wondering, his name came from his father’s friendship with an Australian marine who served with Dasher’s father during the Vietnam War (Kevin “Dasher” Wheatley).

Monica O.  Montgomery

Monica O. Montgomery

Monica O. Montgomery MA is a museum leader working at the nexus of equity, community and inclusion. She is the Curator of Social Justice, Special Projects + Programs, for the FUTURES exhibit presented by Smithsonian Institution, Arts + Industries Building. She has independently curated 40+ social justice, contemporary art and public history exhibits, experiences and festivals, with renowned organizations like the South African Embassy, Brooklyn Museum, Portland Art Museum, Teachers College, Woodlawn Mansion, Weeksville Heritage Center, The Highline, The New School and more. She is the CoFounder and strategic director of Museum Hue, leading the premiere multicultural group, in advancing the visibility and viability of BIPOC in museums, building diverse representation and equity.  Monica is a graduate professor teaching courses around Museums and Social Change at: American University, Johns Hopkins University, Harvard University, Pratt Institute and NYU.

She has been featured in the media on PBS Newshour, Washington Post, Smithsonian Magazine, Humans of New York, Fox, C-Span, Hyperallergic, Radio One, Black Art in America. She gave a TedX talk entitled 'How To Be an Upstander', challenging everyone to stand up, speak up and act up for social good.

Tom Bowman

Tom Bowman

Tom Bowman is an advisor, speaker, and creative changemaker who believes the solutions to the world’s toughest problems are within our grasp. His gift for distilling complex problems and information to their central nugget empowers people to take ownership and act.

As founder of Bowman Design Group, Tom served as the EDPA’s sustainability chair, and wrote Exhibitor’s “Ask Mr. Green” column. He was honored by the California Air Resources Board for generating cost savings while slashing the company’s carbon by two-thirds.

As principal of Bowman Change, Inc., Tom provides strategic and communication counsel to people and organizations who care deeply about their communities and their world. His clients include government agencies, energy companies, and cultural institutions. 

Bowman is author of What if Solving the Climate Crisis Is Simple?, Empowering Climate Action in the United States, and The Green Edge. He has been featured by CNN, NPR’s Marketplace, Time, New York Times, Science, and other leading media outlets.

Waqas Jawaid

Waqas Jawaid

Waqas received his undergraduate degree with highest honors from Princeton University and a Masters in Architecture with distinction from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. At Princeton, he was awarded the Frederick White Prize for his thesis on architectural apartheid in the Paris banlieus. Waqas previously worked at the Office for Metropolitan Architecture, SANAA, Harvard Art Museums, and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. He is a founding organizer of Climate Collective, a NYC-based organization that sparks civic discourse about climate change through design and storytelling.

Waqas has lectured at venues including Harvard University, the Center for Architecture, and Princeton University Art Museum. He has served on the faculty of the Maryland Institute College of Art and the School of Visual Arts.
