FIT's Academic Advisement Center is here to help with all types of academic questions in order to make your academic experience as smooth and rewarding as possible. We embrace a holistic, developmental approach to student success, recognizing your dynamic, creative, career-oriented spirit. Our goal is to build strong partnerships with you, your faculty, and other administrative offices to support you through every stage of your academic life at FIT.

Announcements:
Current students placed on academic probation need to meet with their academic advisor. Please schedule an appointment before spring registration deadlines for full registration access.
For the week of January 23rd - 27th, walk-in hours will be held 9AM - 4:30PM and January 30th - February 3rd, walk-in hours will be held 9AM - 5:30PM. No appointments will be available. The Academic Advisement Center is looking forward to getting to know you and having the opportunity to work with you during your academic career.

Appointments can be made using our online appointment system (using your FIT e-mail credentials) to meet with an academic advisor. In addition to in-person appointments, we are also available to have an online or telephone advisement session with you. Please refer to the specific instructions on the appointment page if you are interested in online or telephone sessions. Please keep in mind appointments are made on Eastern Standard Time so please account for the time difference when scheduling an appointment depending on where you live.

The information on the following pages for recently accepted students will provide you with what you need to know and the steps you need to take to prepare for your arrival on campus. You can also expect to receive separate communications shortly about a host of items, including academic advisement, course registration and New Student Orientation.

Jan 27 Last day to waitlist spring class
Jan 30 First day of spring semester

Feb 3 Last day to add/drop classes in person (Registrar's Office closes at 4:45pm)
Feb 5 Last day to add/drop classes in MyFIT (online system closes at 11:00pm)
Feb 17 Last day to withdraw from spring classes with a partial refund
May 5 Last day to withdraw from spring classes with a WD grade
