Winter Housing

WINTER HOUSING 2013

DATES: JANUARY 1, 2013 (12:00 NOON) TO SPRING 2013 CHECK-IN

ELIGIBILITY: CURRENT RESIDENTS ONLY. 
• If you currently live in the residence halls AND will be living in the halls for Spring 2013, you qualify for Winter Recess housing. You are not required to register for a Winter class. 
• Only eligible students are able to access the online application.

APPLICATIONS: AVAILABLE BY OCTOBER 1, 2012
•  Please sign on to MyFIT to apply by October 1, 2012.
• Due date for applications and payments is December 4, 2012 (after December 4, 2012 a $25.00 late fee will apply).

RATES: ALL RESIDENCE HALLS
 • Rates are based on your spring 2013 assignment - Traditional, Suite/Apartment, or Single style rooms:
                              -Traditional Style Room: $841.00

-Suite/Apartment Style Room: $968.00
            -Suite/Apartment Style Single Room: $1,579.00*

• The winter “single” rate applies ONLY to those residents that are currently in a single and will be in a single for the Spring 2013 semester. If your roommate is NOT staying for winter, you will be charged the “shared” rate.

Please note: All residents INCLUDING THOSE THAT APPLIED AND PAID FOR WINTER HOUSING must vacate the residence halls on December 19, 2012 – for detailed holiday closing information go to http://www.fitnyc.edu/8667.asp . All winter and spring 2013 residents are allowed to leave their belongings in their current room. However, only paid winter residents will be allowed to check-in on January 1, 2013 for winter.

Please note: During the winter session, you will be charged $10 per person, per overnight. Your student account will be billed.  EXTENDED VISITATION WILL NOT BE GRANTED DURING RECESS PERIODS. All other overnight visitation rules and regulations apply.
