ILLUSTRATION BFA

Applicant Qualifications
Students seeking admission to FIT’s Illustration BFA program must first hold an Associate degree from the FIT program listed below, or an equivalent degree from an accredited and approved institution.

This baccalaureate program is available to applicants from this FIT associate-level program:

  • Illustration

If you do not hold this degree and still wish to apply, please schedule an appointment with the department chairperson to discuss your options.

Applicants to this program will be expected to provide a competitive portfolio.

A college program is precisely equivalent if it contains the same major area and liberal arts distribution as the FIT Illustration AAS program. Transfer applicants from college programs that are not precisely equivalent to FIT's Illustration AAS program must apply to the AAS program.

Transfer students from other colleges may be eligible to apply to the Illustration BFA program if they will earn an Associate or Bachelor's degree at a regionally accredited college in an Illustration program that is precisely equivalent to FIT’s Illustration AAS program, or if they will have earned at least 60 credits toward a Bachelor's degree in an equivalent program at a regionally accredited college before enrollment at FIT.
