Students seeking admission to FIT’s Interior Design BFA program must first hold an Associate degree from the FIT program listed below, or an equivalent degree from an accredited and approved institution.
This baccalaureate program is available to applicants from this FIT associate-level program:
- Interior Design
If you do not hold this degree and still wish to apply, please schedule an appointment with the department chairperson to discuss your options.
Applicants to this program will be expected to provide a competitive portfolio.
Please note: AAS degree programs from other institutions are not eligible for the professional-status CIDA accreditation, and as a result, students holding such degrees are not eligible to apply to the FIT Interior Design BFA program. Degree programs in architecture or industrial design are not deemed equivalent to the FIT Interior Design program.
