Research Help & Instruction

If you need help doing research for class assignments, finding information or navigating your way through the Library's web site, you have several ways to get in touch with us for assistance.

Research Guides

The Library produces a number of guides to help you with your research, which you can access online. Printed copies of some of the guides are available at the Reference Desk (4th floor).

Instructional Services

Classroom faculty may request instructional sessions taught by librarians. The librarian-lead workshops and orientations sessions can provide:

  • General orientation
  • Assignment specific research tools
  • Research and information literacy skills.

Classroom faculty may also request a self-led workshops and library orientations.  The Library will reserve an area in the Library (for example, the Forecasting area or the Art Reference Room) for you to work with your students.  Any forecasting resources you need will be ready for you.
