We want to ensure that our Senior Scholars have an engaged and positive experience in the courses they audit. By definition, auditors are silent participants in class and may join in discussions and projects at the discretion of the instructor. Auditors are encouraged to attend class and keep up with readings. No examinations or papers are required, no grade is assigned, and no credit is granted for course completion. Repeating a course you have previously audited will not be permitted.
Because certain art and design courses are part of an undergraduate art and design major's degree program, seats for Senior Scholars in those courses will not be available. However, there will be a selection of other art and design courses in which Senior Scholars may enroll if seats are available.
Those who did not take a course in spring 2014 are required to submit the Data Form as a part of the registration process. Visit us during an information session to do so, and to discuss course selection and have any questions answered.
Fall Semester registration will take place in person on August 29th, 2014 at 10:00am in the John E. Reeves Great Hall. Please see the Registration Overview page for details on information sessions, and how to register for fall.
If you have a question about Senior Scholars at FIT, please telephone 212-217-3334 and choose Option 2 to speak with a member of the staff.
We look forward to seeing you on campus soon!
