Student at computer. FIT is Eye-Opening

School of Liberal Arts

FIT is committed to a broad liberal arts education as an integral part of every student’s course of study and they are a required component of all FIT degree programs. Classes are designed to broaden your understanding of the humanities, strengthen critical thinking and communication skills, provide knowledge of the natural and social sciences, and prepare you to function effectively in a culturally diverse world.

Liberal Arts courses draw on FIT’s outstanding resources and facilities, including a state-of-the-art language laboratory, an Academic Skills Center that offers tutoring in any area of study, and a Writing Studio.

To enhance the global focus of FIT’s programs, we offer concentrations in Asian and Latin American Studies for students who wish to specialize in those areas. The school also offers a Bachelor of Science program in Visual Art Management for those interested in non-curatorial careers in museums, galleries, or other art institutions. The school is home to FIT’s Presidential Scholars honors program for highly motivated, academically talented students.
