On-Campus Housing Accommodations for Students with Disabilities
All students must be matriculated and registered as full-time (minimum of 12.0 credits for undergraduates, 9 credits for graduate students) each semester (please read the Residential Life FAQS on the FIT website)
On-campus housing consideration based upon disability is reviewed each academic year. An Extenuating Circumstances form must be submitted by the student to FIT-ABLE with the appropriate disability documentation for consideration.
The final determination of on-campus housing based upon disability rests with the Dean of Student Development, and is not subject to appeal.
Single rooms are available on a limited basis and not in all residence halls.
Each student with a disability is expected to abide by all college policies including the Resident Handbook, and FIT Student Rights and Responsibilities policies.
On-campus housing (both on 27th Street and on 31st Street) is limited for all students (of the 9,000+ student enrollment, only 2200 spaces are available in the residence halls).
