Maxim Auguste

Head Coach Maxim Auguste played volleyball for Saint Lucia National Team from 1993-1997 and was Saint Lucia’s Volleyball Player of the Year in 1995. He was awarded an athletic scholarship to play collegiate volleyball at Queens College and pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree. 

While at Queens College, Max received numerous awards including: Overall Most Outstanding Senior (2003), Most Valuable Player (2002) and Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) 2nd Team All East in recognition of outstanding performance (2002).

Max’s coaching career began in 1994 where he led his former secondary school, St. Mary’s College, in Saint Lucia to win the inter-secondary school volleyball championships. Coach Auguste has been the Head Coach for FIT since 2005. In the 2008 season, the Tigers excelled and made it to the Region XV Volleyball Championships finishing 2nd in the region. Coach Auguste has coached several FIT All-Region and Academic All-Region players.


  Vanessa Charles  

Assistant Coach Vanessa Charles played High School Volleyball in St. Lucia, where in 1994 she won Female Volleyball Player of the year, and also female athlete of the year (she is a 3 sport athlete).  She also played for the St. Lucia National team from 1992- 1994. She was awarded an Athletic Scholarship to play volleyball at St. Francis College and pursued a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Promotion with a minor in Physical Education (Exercise Physiology).

Vanessa's coaching career began in 2004 as Head Coach of the JV Marymount Lady Tigers, where she coached for 4 years. Since then her coaching career has led her to Berkeley Carroll and now a proud member of the FIT coaching staff.
