What does not transfer to FIT

There are several common reasons courses donít transfer to FIT.
  • If the college was not listed on your admissions application we cannot award transfer credit.
  • If you earned a grade less than a C (including a C-) we cannot award transfer credit.
  • If the course description does not match the required course(s) for your current FIT degree we cannot award transfer credit.
  • If you are currently in an AAS degree program and the course is not part of the AAS degree requirements we cannot award transfer credit. (For example, foreign language is required for many Bachelor's degree programs and will not be transferred when students are admitted to the AAS degree, even though it may be transferred in when your admission to a Bachelorís degree program is official.)*

If you think the course description does match, please submit an†intake form†explaining which FIT course and/or requirement for your current degree you are trying to fulfill and attach a course description and/or syllabus from the other college.

*Please note, after AAS students apply, are admitted and pay the tuition deposit for a Bachelor's degree program through the Admissions Office, the Registrar's Office reviews each student's transcripts again for any additional transfer credits that can be applied toward the Bachelor's degree.
