Men's Basketball
The FIT men’s basketball program is nationally recognized. The 2008-2009 season was among our most successful. The Tigers were ranked 2nd in the nation over the last 7 weeks of the season and finished with a 28-2 record.
The Tigers have compiled a remarkable .810 winning percentage with a 47-11 record in the last two years under the leadership of Region XV Coach of the Year, Mike Kerr.
FIT has a strong and successful men’s basketball tradition. The Tigers have had numerous All-Americans and All-Region players recognized, including 2008-2009 1st Team All American and Region XV Player of the Year, Anderson Labase. FIT basketball alumni have gone on to receive scholarships to NCAA Division I and II, and NAIA institutions. Legendary FIT Coach, Marvin Rippy retired after 26 seasons with a 610-205 record.
