Check-In Dates and Times

FIT RESIDENCE HALL MOVE-IN INFORMATION
SPRING 2012

Please read carefully.  In the event that any of the following instructions change, FIT personnel will direct resident to the proper check-in areas upon arrival.
 
•         There is no parking on the street. Vehicles will be given access to unload only.
•         Please stay in vehicle until directed to the check-in area by our move-in staff. 
•         Once the resident is directed to leave the vehicle, report to your check in area. 
•         You must have at least two people to assist you.  No children please.
•         Once the vehicle is in the Check-in area, you are to:
             1)  Unload vehicle immediately
             2)  One person must move the vehicle to another street or parking lot
             3)  One person must stay with possessions while resident checks in
 
DO NOT LEAVE VEHICLES UNATTENDED. Please note that N.Y.C. will tow & ticket unattended vehicle on the Street.
 
OVERNIGHT VISITATION:  There is no overnight visitation (12:00am to 8:00am) during move-in week, closing week, and exam weeks.  Exceptions will not be made.  Please advise family members and friends.
 
Individuals with qualified disabilities who require modification to the move-in procedures and schedule are urged to contact the Residential Life Department (212) 217-3900 as early as possible to make special arrangements. (We assume incoming residents who need special living accommodations have already informed us. If not please do so now)

OPTIONS FOR MOVING ITEMS INTO THE  RESIDENCE HALLS: After check-in, personal items can be moved in at residents convenience (i.e. nights, weekends) or they may have personal times shipped to them via UPS or U.S. Postal Service.  Carts are available while RAs are at lobby desk.
