After taking SXI 100 online or in-class student must opt for getting the certificate on campus or online. There can be no mixing at this time.

In-class (on campus) Version

A minimum of 11 courses are required to complete this program.

Certificate Students- courses to be taken in sequence listed.
SXI 100 is the recommended first course and the recommended sequence is as follows:

Required courses in the Foundation Modules
SXI 100   Introduction to Image Consulting (in-class or online)
Should be followed by SXF 400, SXF 500, and SXF 610 in this order.
SXI 200   Image Consulting II: Wardrobe and Style
Should be followed by CEO 019, SXE 100, and SXF 800 in this order.
SXI 300   Image Consulting III: Business Essentials for Success

Required courses in the Related Modules, should be taken after SXI 100 and SXI 200.

SXF 500  Fabrication: Everything You Need To Know 
SXF 610  The Great Designers (in-class or online)

Students interested in a Professional Development Certificate of completion must file an affidavit form after completing the first course in the certificate. This will also enable you to obtain your official FIT ID. To access the form log into your account at https://myfit.fitnyc.edu/, in your student tab click on Online Information System, in the Main Menu click on Student, then click Online Certificate Declaration and proceed to declare your noncredit certificate.

A total of 136 hours is needed to complete this program. 
SXI 100 may be taken online or in the classroom. All other courses must be taken online. CEUs are awarded for all SXI programs.

*SXI 500 has been specially formatted to replace the information imparted in SXF 400, SXF 500 and SXF 710. It is only available online. It is open to anyone interested in Image and can be taken as a stand-alone program.
