Student Rights and Responsibilities Manual

Dear FIT Student:

Welcome to the Fashion Institute of Technology. Our goal is to create an environment that respects and responds to our students’ needs. As with any community, the college has established standards of conduct for its members.

Please read the FIT Student Handbook's Student Rights and Responsibilities Manual carefully. You will find crucial information about what it means to be part of the educational community at FIT. Students living in our on-campus housing facilities should also pay special attention to the sections covered under Residential Lie and fully read the Resident Handbook and Information Booklet.

This publication identifies many, but not all, of the important policies and regulations that address the expectations and obligations of students here at FIT. Failure to comply with our community standards may subject a student to disciplinary action as defined in the college's Code of Conduct.

It is our goal to provide an exciting, vibrant learning community on the FIT campus, both in and out of the classroom. You are an important part of that community.
