English Language Programs
FIT offers English as a Second Language courses each term through the Educational Skills department, along with other college prepratory courses.
Programs Offered in the Summer Only:
The Summer English Language Institute (ELI) at FIT
For international F1 students already admitted to FIT for Fall 2009, or those who would like to study credit-bearing ESL courses at the College on a non-credit basis, the Summer ELI Program is a 7-week extensive academic credit study of the English language that focuses on reading, writing, speaking, listening, and presentation. Recommended for students who evidence lower than average TOEFL scores (under 100 on the internet-based TOEFL, under 250 on the computer-based TOEFL , and under 600 on the paper-based TOEFL).
Summer English as a Second Language and Fashion Business (ESL) courses at FIT
For any interested international or domestic individual with intermediate or advanced English-language skills, the summer ESL Program is a multi-tracked, 3 week non-credit study of the English language that focuses on oral communication skills and fashion and design related language.
