Introduces the fundamental principles of developing basic silhouettes of skirts, blouses, bodices, and collars with draping and patternmaking techniques. Use of stripe fabric as it applies to grain line manipulation in design is studied. Course utilizes strong sewing skills.

DP 112 Draping Proficiency II

Prerequisite: DP 111
Studies the characteristics and drapability of fabric and its effect on the development of silhouette and style. Students use draping methods and flat pattern techniques to resolve complex problems in design development.

DP 212 Draping Proficiency IV
