CAD for Fashion Design – Art
The CAD for Fashion Design-Art certificate will relaunch in an updated format (see below) in Fall 2014.
The art track in the CAD for Fashion Design Certificate Program was developed to respond to the demands of the fashion design industry’s need for trained talent with advanced computer skills. The program offers students the opportunity to upgrade their digital fashion design skills to industry standards.
The purpose of the program is to enable designers to create and produce various fashion design presentation products, such as digital trend and concept boards, textile color developments, and computer-generated digital portfolios. Upon completion, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate intermediate and advanced skills in filling silhouettes, figures, type and art with color, pattern or texture;
- Understand CAD color systems (RGB, CMYK) and uses for Pantone proprietary color libraries;
- Employ advanced digital compositing skills using selections, layer, and transformation commands; and
- Demonstrate proficiency with all program operations, commands, and functionalities.
