EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
All freshmen, sophomores and seniors must participate in four (4) extracurricular activities for the semester. You may choose any of the activities below or create your own. Post your activity reports (and photos, if you like) on the Presidential Scholars section of Angel.
- One activity must be a community service activity.
- You must do at least two activities with a minimum of two different Presidential Scholars.
- Do not use trips from other classes.
- Restaurant and club reviews do not count as an activity.

| BabyBuggy @ FIT (our Presidential Scholars Sewing Circle) Wednesday, October 7 and/or Tuesday, October 27, 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Room A803 Founded by Jessica Seinfeld (yes, Jerry’s wife), BabyBuggy is a non-profit organization whose primary goal is to ensure that all parents and families in the 5 boroughs of New York City have the means to provide clothing and gear for their children. They focus on collecting gently used and new clothing and redistributing these items. Volunteers will be mending clothes in preparation for their donation to needy families. You don’t have to be a FD major to participate! |

| Riverside Park Fund Volunteer Opportunity Saturday, October 10 and/or Saturday, October 24, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, Locations TBA Volunteers have the chance to work in a classic Olmsted Park, helping to sustain the beauty of this historic landscape. Volunteer tasks include planting, weeding, raking, and a range of other gardening activities. Riverside Park stretches from 62nd to 158th St and the project location will be determined closer to the date of each event. |

| Urban Samaritan @ FIT Wednesday, November 11, 6:00 - 9:00 pm, Board Room, C Building 9th Floor No skills required. Come to help cut and wash museum banners to be sewn by the homeless into tote bags to be sold in museum shops, with profits going back to help the homeless. For more information, go to www.urbansamaritan.org. Wear old clothes you don’t mind getting dusty. Bring scissors. |
