The Fine Arts portfolio consists of artwork and written essays.
PART ONE: Artwork
Please submit 12 to 20 examples of artwork in any medium.
Applicants to the Fine Arts AAS program are expected to submit a competitive selection of work. Present what you believe to be the very best examples of your work. Submissions are limited to 12 to 20 individual pieces in a variety of media (except Photography). Please submit 12 to 20 images. Please be sure to note the media and original size of your work on each piece. Acceptable forms of media include:
- paintings (photographs of large works are acceptable)
- photos of sculpture or 3D designs
At least four of the pieces should be drawings from observation (not from photography, but drawing what you see). Images from sketchbooks are welcome, as they enable us to see how you think. Please be sure to note the media and original size of your work on each piece.
PART TWO: Written Essays
- In 500 words or less, explain what has been your experience of making art and what inspires you? How long have you been doing it and is there anyone who has influenced your decision to study art?
