Tigers Defense Stands Strong

(Kingsborough, NY) This weekend the FIT tigers took on Nassau Community College for the second time. The tigers triumphed Sunday with a 1-0 win after losing to NCC the first go around. The game was very back and forth, both teams putting on a very strong defense. Finally in the middle of the second have the 0-0 game was broken by an own goal off of Erika Renstromís corner kick. Katelyn Snow recorded her first shut out of the season by making fantastic saves throughout the game finishing with a total of 16 saves. Read More

Women's Soccer Splits the Weekend

(Nassau, NY) This weekend the FIT tigers faced off in two games. Saturday the soccer team took on Nassau Community college at Mitchell field Long island. The larger then used to field resulted in some problems for the girls as they suffered a 3-0 defeat. The Tigers held their ground for the first half as goalie Katelyn Snow made great saves and a special save from a penalty kick. The defense and midfield were strong and the girls worked well together keeping Nassau from scoring. The second half however the girls were defeated with 3 goals. Read More

With fourteen new members of the team, Coach Bevivino needed to get his team working together both on and off the field.
