(Suffolk, NY) After a one-day delay due to snow, the FIT Tigers were back in action on Sunday against Queensboro Community College and the College of New Rochelle.  The meet was unscored but the Tigers claimed multiple victories and learned valuable lessons heading into the winter break.

Freshman Emily Mance led the way with wins in each of her three individual events.  She posted times of 2:35.72 (200 IM), 1:14.07 (100 fly), and 1:11.91 (100 back), all of which are FIT all-time top-ten times.  Classmate Julia Teri finished runner-up to Mance in the 100 back where she clocked a 1:16.01, and took wins in 100 free (1:05.49) and 100 breast (1:21.97).  Swimming alongside Teri in two events, Katie vanBeek placed second in the 100 free in 1:05.88 and second in the 100 breast in 1:27.37.  She also completed her college debut in the 200 free, swimming a 2:29.40.

The Tigers will travel to Delhi on January 25 of next year for their first meet of the spring semester.
