(Delhi, NY) The FIT Tigers competed in their first meet of the season at Delhi on Saturday, finishing in fourth with a score of 121 points.  All three freshmen swimmers earned qualifications for Nationals in March, with Emily Mance breaking the Delhi pool record in the 1650 free with a time of 19:54.73.  Mance also won the 500 free in 5:51.38 and took second in the 200 free in 2:11.64.  Classmate Julia Teri earned a win in her collegiate debut, swimming the 200 IM in 2:38.72.  She got right back on the blocks and took third in the 100 fly in 1:16.01, and finished her meet with a runner-up swim in the 100 breast with a time of 1:22.09.  Katie vanBeek had impressive swims in the 50 and 100 free, where she took second (28.66) and fourth (1:05.66) respectively.  She completed her meet just behind Teri in the 100 breast, finishing fourth with a time of 1:28.15.

The Tigers will be back in action on December 14 at the College of New Rochelle before beginning the winter break.
