As part of the Legacy Week: Homecoming 2014, we are delighted to invite alumni back to campus to celebrate Alumni Day. Reconnect with your former classmates in scheduled activities such as the alumni flea market and FIT campus tours. In the evening, join us for an alumni panel discussion, entitled "FIT Through the Decades", featuring alumni from each decade - from 1940 to present, and moderated by Professor NJ Bradeen, Director of the Library. End the evening at our alumni reception at MODA Espresso Bar.

FIT's Third Graduating Class '48
Penny graduated FIT with an Associate's Degree and became a buyer at National Bellas Hess Stores in NYC, then a Merchandise Manager for Barker's Stores (previously Franklin Stores) in the Bronx. Her career shifted into Real Estate as a Real Estate Agent and then a Commercial Leasing Consultant, for AAG Management. Her professional experience spans 27 years in NYC.

Fashion Design '50
Phyllis began her career in the marketing departments of two New York resident buying offices, then in 1974 she became an original incorporator of the First Women's Bank and Trust Co. in Greenwich, CT. She also led the formation of her own public relations business, which continued for 25+ years. Currently she is a fine art photographer which exhibits regularly.

Fashion Design '65
George is celebrating his 50th Anniversary on Fashion Avenue in 2015 and his designs are featured in every major department store including Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom's Couture, Lord & Taylor, and Macy's to name a few. He is also a full-time tenure Professor at FIT and last season he won the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Teaching Excellence at graduation. He also holds a major TV influence, filming a new reality show, "Kisses from Lola" and is a member of the prestigious Council of Fashion Designers of America.

Textile Science '75
Vivian majored in Textile Science and graduated with an Associate's Degree from FIT. She has done every type of buying, beginning her career in a buying office while still attending school. Afterwards, she started in the Executive Training Program at Bonwit Teller and worked her way up to buyer, then worked for several specialty store chains. Currently, she is a Merchandise Manager in the Ladies Ready-to-Wear at Century 21 Department Stores where she has worked for nearly 23 years.

John is the President of the FIT Alumni Association and graduated with an Associate's degree in Fashion Buying and Merchandising along with his Bachelor's in Marketing:Communications. He has worked both in-house, as well as for several boutique marketing and public relations agencies, representing a diverse array of fashion and lifestyle brands. He is also the Fashion Director for MR Magazine and is currently the Vice President of Kenwerks, an LA based marketing and PR agency, running the the firm's New York office and its menswear division.

Ivy is a beauty marketing executive with over 15 years of cosmetics experience. After graduating FIT, she earned increased levels of responsibility and experience at Avon Products, Sally Hansen Beauty, and L'Oreal USA. Currently she is the Marketing Manager of Dickinson Brands, leading a team of industry professionals and creative agencies to bring innovative new products and captivating communications.

At FIT, Celeste served as FIT Student Association Class President, and received both the Max Meyer Memorial Award and the Peter Vogel Leadership Keys. She is currently a Marketing Manager and has been recognized by the Massachusetts Family Business Association for Marketing Excellence. She describes herself as a woman of quick wit and determination, whose power is exceeded by her love of cheesecake.
